Lucy & Luis
It's always an extra joy when you get to reconnect with an old friend to shoot their wedding. Lucy and I worked together when at University so not only was it wonderful to see her again, but also some mutual friends from our Uni days.
This wedding was in Nottingham, an area I don't know well, but what better way is there for getting to know a place. The morning was beautifully chill both with Lucy and her family and Luis with his (especially once the buttonholes were in place). There was a strong Citroën 2CV running through the day, as an old family favourite car, and they even had one as their wedding car for the photos!
The venue was a fantastic space a modern barn conversation that was very welcoming. I'd highly recommend The Carriage Hall if you are looking for somewhere luxurious whilst still homely. The weather couldn't really make up its mind if it wanted to be rainy or sunny but was very kind and always held off the showers for the times we wanted to be outside. The music was fantastic and kept the energy high, and to top it all we had the amazing Mrs Patal Food Truck providing gorgeous Indian meals as the sky faded to night.
