Amy & James

It's always an honour to be chosen to photograph for the incredible Gift of a Wedding, and Amy & James' wonderful day was no exception.

It was a gorgeously bright sunny day, despite a chilly wind and Formby Hall Golf Club and Spa was the perfect spot to enjoy it! Everyone was very relaxed and chilled getting ready, a great energy that reached throughout the day. The ceremony itself was led by Lorraine Hull which means you know it will be beautiful, moving and funny in all the right places! Amy and James had chosen to do a sand sharing ceremony which I think is such a lovely ritual. Their son Finley was also very determined to be a big part of the ceremony!

Confetti, drinks and photos were soon followed by a lovely afternoon tea-style wedding breakfast. The speeches were of course very moving, and deliciously funny.

We managed to sneak off for some sunset photos and video (by Lovebug Films) on the golf course. It was lovely to have some unguarded photos as well as semi-posed ones. James, who had been most hesitant about the photos to begin with, definitely got into the swing of them by the end and started making his own suggestions which were excellent!

Before we knew it, it was time for the party which came complete with DJ and even a ball pit! Lots of great tunes and more fun for everyone.
